Blade: S35VN Steel
It is developed by Crucible Industries, and it’s simply a better material and commonly seen on high end knives.
“CPM S35VN is a martensitic stainless steel designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. Its chemistry has been rebalanced so that it forms some niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Substituting niobium carbides for some of the vanadium carbides makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. Because both vanadium and niobium carbides are harder and more effective than chromium carbides in providing wear resistance, the CPM stainless blade steels offer improved edge retention over conventional high chromium steels such as 440C and D2.
The CPM process produces very homogeneous, high quality steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness compared to steels produced by conventional melting practices.”

Handle: Titanium
Titanium is a metal, just like aluminum; however, it is a more durable option than aluminum. It is also heavier than aluminum, but still not heavy. For the extra weight, you get a lot of extra strength. Out of all the alloy metal handle options, titanium offers the best rust resistance properties. Titanium is considered a premium metal for your knife handle. Oddly enough, titanium has a warm feel to it, so if you are going to be mainly using your knife in the colder months, this option is a fantastic one. Even though titanium is a premium metal, it is still prone to scratches, especially when being compared to a stainless steel. Titanium can be textured through a process known as bead-blasting, which is when a stream of abrasive material is used to rough up a smooth surface such as this. And, just like aluminum, titanium can have different colors added to it through the anodization process. This material is often used on new pocket knives.
